In the wake of reality smacking Hyderabad real estate, the city's real estate market is in a worse state than what was thought at the time.

The most recent Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri data do show an increase in year-on-year residential sales as well as launches in the major cities during the first quarter. However, the decrease is the largest for Hyderabad with a drop in figures.

In seven cities major to them -seven cities - Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, Bengaluru, National Capital Region (NCR), Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata around 93,280 units were purchased in the first quarter, which is a reduction of 26 percent over the first quarter of 2024, when 1,301,170 units were sold.

Although most cities experienced an increase in sales during the time but Hyderabad's sales drop was the most damaging by 49 percent which was then Kolkata with a 31 percent decrease. Bengaluru however, may fight the decline to an degree and stop it with a rate of 16 per cent.

With regard to the latest releases, Anarock data reveal that the top seven cities had about 1,002,020 units launched during Q1 2025. That compares with 1,10,865 units for the first quarter of 2024. This is which a decrease of 10 percent is.
